Swallowing Stones Book Review

“Swallowing Stones” is about 2 “normal” high school students. But, on July 4, both of their live will be extremely changed. Michael had a party that night, and was showing off his new gun. Jenna, on that same night, was at home. Michael had fired his gun into the sky, and about a mile of flight later, the bullet struck Jenna’s father, killing him. They both go through the stages of grief and at the end accept each-other.

The book, in my opinion, was dragged out to the point where you could predict the end. Speaking of the end, the end is terrible. Leaving you on a cliffhanger with no sequel book or epilogue. The book had some good vocabulary, and the characters actions were relatable. To rate it 1-10, I would give it a 5/10. Though the characters are nicely developed, the ending ruined the entire book for me.

Boring Spring Break

All it was,was rain

Rain, rain, oh and more rain

It wouldn’t stop!

We even tried going out of state!

It just followed us!

Me

curled up in a blanket

watching Markiplier get the heebie-jeebies

scared out of him.

Mexican food didn’t seem

to help.

Staying put in my bed

ULTIMATE TEAM GRIND!

4:30 as my ‘bed time’

and waking up fine.

Then it was time for school again,

I didn’t want to go.

So I faked being sick, that didn’t work.

bye bye the most boring spring break ever.

Snow Day

Snow day

No school

just a whole day in the snow.

Snow Day

The crunching of snow

under my feet.

Snow Day

The building of an army of men

in my front lawn.

The balls of snow

and my arm as my cannon.

Snow Day

The most fun day of the year

but all of it must come to an end.

I hope to see it again

next year.
